Monday night was our first read-through for Secrets of My Prison House, and let me tell you, this one is going to be GOOD. Hoarders, rude language, incest, allusions to classical Greek theater and Buddhism...we've got it all in this one! The play was written by the talented Ben Schroth, and is being produced by Irving Community Theatre as part of their Theatre on the Edge series at the Rudy Steppy Studio on Rochelle Rd in Irving.
Unfortunately, one of our actors had to drop out at the last minute. Fortunately, we were able to shuffle things around, and now I'm acting in the show as well as stage managing (our amazing director Jared Culpepper will be running the board, if anyone's curious how that will work during the run). I'm very excited to be playing Siddhartha Gautama...especially costume-wise!
