My Career Goals For The Next Five Years

If you write down your goals, you are more likely to achieve them!

• Study several techniques and become comfortable with multiple styles of performing and direction.
• Get an agent.
• Get enough work for theater, performance, and stage managing to be my day job. This means learning the best tools and methods for finding work and maintaining contacts/good reputation.
• Find teaching position at the college level that will still allow me to actively participate in the professional community.
• Start teaching an acting workshop for middle school and high school drama teachers who do not have an acting background. Possibly expand into technical theater workshop as well.
• Find or create mentoring program for young adult actors getting started professionally. Create a website that gives them tips on how to get started.
• Explore commercial work, voice acting, print work, television, and short film. These will not take the place of stage acting; rather they are new avenues to learn about.
• Travel. Go out of the country at least twice. Work somewhere outside of the country at least once. Take time to visit friends and family who don't live nearby.
• Maintain friendships and family relationships. Although work is important, at the end of the day it cannot replace friends and family. Always make time for me, and always make time for friends and family.
